FAQ:
What is your turnaround time?
I try my hardest to keep my turnaround times as speedy as I can because I know how eager my clients are to see their photos! Portrait sessions are never more than three weeks. Weddings are no more than eight to ten weeks - depending on my schedule. My wedding + elopement packages also include a ‘sneak peek’ gallery viewable within one week of the event.
How do we get our photos?
I send all of my galleries via personalized online gallery and digital download. The gallery gets emailed to you, and you can download images straight from there to your computer or phone! It is SUPER easy! You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and even order prints or wall art through my Pixieset Photo Store.
Do you travel?
I absolutely do! I am currently based in Asheville, North Carolina and I'm very familiar with WNC, but I honestly can't wait to explore every inch of North Carolina! I'm even open to travel throughout the USA. So far I have photographed in NC, SC, TN, & VA. Do you have insurance and backup equipment?
Yes & yes!
How do we book you?
All you need to secure your date in my calendar is a signed contract + 25% non-refundable retainer. Contact me and I can send you all the info you need to book!
What should I wear to our session?
Ultimately, you should wear whatever you love and what you feel most comfortable in. I recommend staying away from any bright colors, busy patterns, or logos because they can be distracting! Neutrals are always a safe bet, if you are unsure. One outfit for your photoshoot is totally fine, but if you want to do more than that I’d recommend doing two, and splitting that between one casual one and one that’s more dressed up. Any more than 2 outfits can be a little too much, and takes time away from the session. I do offer my clients wardrobe styling so I am happy to send you some color palettes + links relevant to the season, location, or theme. Feel free to send me photos of what you pick out and I can give you my thoughts!
How many photos do we get?
This totally depends on your package choice! I normally end up with a few more photos than what's included in your package. I upload all the best images to a proof gallery and allow you to choose what's included in your package as well as offer you add on options for any additional images.
With weddings and elopements I include all of my best images taken to your gallery.
Do you provide the RAWS?
I do not provide the RAWS, but rest assured I have selected and edited the best of the images from your session. I always choose quality over quantity and no one wants the blurry, eyes closed, out-of-focus shots anyway!
Can you help us with planning?
ABSOLUTELY!!! I'd love to! It's probably my favorite part of this process! To help a couple with their wedding timeline, send dress links to an expecting mama, or putting together the perfect picnic for you based on the stories you share with me! I value giving each of my clients a unique experience tailored to them.
Can I post my photos on social media?
Of course you can! Once you get your gallery, you have the right to share your photos on any of your accounts. I do ask that you tag me and give credit in your caption when possible (referrals are so important for my business!), and that under no circumstances, do you crop, edit, or alter my photos in any way. I want the memories that you share to be an accurate representation of my unique style!
Do you retouch photos?
I professionally retouch photos to match my editing style portrayed on my website, and socials. I do not do any body retouching further than
basic acne removal. slight smoothing of wrinkles, or whitening of teeth.
Can we see a full wedding gallery?
Absolutely! You can find full galleries under my, "Clients", tab or I’d be more than happy to send over examples to your email. I want you to know exactly what you’re getting from me when you choose me for your wedding day!
Do you offer a second shooter?
Yes, I do offer a second photographer, typically at parties with 150+ guests, or if your locations are a fair distance away from each other. I usually shoot alone, but it can be a great idea to have a second person roaming around if you'd like more gorgeous candids of your guests on the day! Please inform me of your possible need of a second shooter at booking.
How do you photograph weddings?
I take a relaxed, documentary-style approach that lets your day unfold naturally, while also offering gentle guidance so everyone feels comfortable in front of the camera. Before the wedding, I provide planning support and timeline guidance to help you feel prepared and at ease. On the wedding day, I focus on capturing real moments—the emotions, in-between glances, quiet pauses, and joyful chaos—along with the details that make your day uniquely yours. My goal is to create images that feel authentic, timeless, and full of the moments that matter most.
